About Me

John Quagliano holds a B.S. College of William and Mary, M.S. University of Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia, along with 19+ years work experience at large National Laboratories, Government Contractor Companies, Start-up Ventures, and even a Fruit Farm. He has worked in variety of research domains including, environmental remote sensing, optical materials development for lasers, scientific visualization, chemometrics, and agriculture. More recently, John has applied his programming and data analysis skills to trading and investing in the financial markets, identifying and quantitatively understanding unusual postage stamps and stamps issued with color variations, as well as utilizing lasers to create art at Build RVA.

John enjoys flying drones, basketball, horse racing, dancing, gardening, card games, and stencil=based art. John is also active in local Bocce Ball leagues, having three times won city league championships. John is an active pinball player and competes regularly in league tournaments, holding a ranking of #7361 out of 94.992 active worldwide players. He also speaks Italian fluently and Spanish at an intermediate level.
